Stop. Think. Watch. (Christian Film Reviews)
Melissa and I love watching good movies! We used to go all the time in Latvia where the prices were a lot cheaper.
The problem with movies these days is that half the time PG-13 movies are more perverse and deviant than R rated movies. “Renewing your mind” isn’t easy when your subjected to this kind of input all the time: garbage in, garbage out.
So our family has gotten into the habit of checking out movies online ahead of time. I wanted to share a tool to help others who are dealing with the same issues. The search below will give you deeper perspectives on movies you think you might want to watch so you can leap (away if necessary) before you look.
Part of the process is also “filtering” movies as you watch them. Try using the following questions as a filter (or come up with your own):
- Is it well done? (Our minds are more easily mislead by quality productions.)
- What is the message? (Every movie has a message.)
- Is the message true?
Stop. Think. Watch.
(If you’ve got a favorite movie review site, share it in the comments so I can add it to this search.)
