Venom, Constriction and Animals that Inflict Pain (or at least fear!)

Snake room
We went to visit Vienna’s Uncle Billy at work today. It was quite a treat. I (mom) am EXAUSTED! We got to see all of the animals that they use at the school for teaching. Aligators, Tortuses, Turdles, Iguana’s, Camelions, Gilla Monsters, Monitors, Toads, Lizards (bearded dragons), and snakes snakes and more snakes!!! Some poisonous, some that will just squeeze you to death, and a few harmlessones too.
We went into the snake room, which is kept quite warm, and immediatly all of the rattle snakes were TICKED OFF!! The room is FULL of snakes, like hundreds of snakes in a little room, and there’s maybe a 4 foot path betwen the two cages, so you are up close and personal with these snakes… Did I mention I’m hodling my baby girl!??! Eeewwww… now, I touched the harmelss ones that Bill was holding… but this room was a little nerve wracking!
Don't stand so close...
Immediatly upon entering, one rattler in particular didn’t like us being there at all. Let me tell you, listening to them shake their rattles is QUITE unnerving!!! I did great until I stood next to the one cage too long, I had to go back to where the part of the room where there is only one side of the room with snakes… of course that’s where they are just in these plastic tubs… Jen, you’d have NEVER made it!! Way too close… but it was really cool.
VENOMOUS
Vienna was quite nervous with all the animals, but very much wanted to get close and touch them (don’t worry mom, she didn’t touch any of them, I wouldn’t let her and she never truely tried!) It was fun. However, I’m exhausted!! hopefully I can get the photo’s added in here…
