Praise the Lord for Medication!

So, the morning sickness failed to subside for me.  Doesn’t it know that I’m in the second trimester and it’s supposed to stop!?!?!?  For as much as I’ve bee sick I’m hoping I get twins out of it!! ha ha ha… Finally I resorted to visiting the doctor (I had to go in anyway for my regular thyroid check) and she prescribed me some anti-nausea medication.  It’s worked pretty well for the nausea, however it makes me soooo sleepy.  The first day I think my body must have been making up for all the sick stress it’s been through because I took two 2-hour naps and still went to bed at 9pm and slept all night!!  But as the days progress I’m getting more adjusted to the medication and am not as sleepy.  I did, however, try to go without it the other day, hoping that my body had done some sort of “reset” or something.  No go, and, to top it off, even when I did take some of the medication I still felt sick (though I didn’t actually get sick) so… lesson learned :)  So, now if I wake up and feel a bit sick, I take it!
Tomorrow is a big day for us.  Sam and I are going to our first baby appointment (my regular doctor doesn’t “do pregnancy” so we didn’t get ay baby info that day… I know, strange!) So, we should be hearing this little one’s heart beat tomorrow.  So very exciting!
The not so exciting part is we still don’t have our application through to get our insurance.  So we have to front the money for this appointment.  I’m still nervous about getting approved for the insurance, so I’m anxiously awaiting news on coverage and may call them in the morning making sure that they have all the docs now (they had to send one back because I forgot to sign it… geeshhh).  But no matter what this appointment needs to happen.
What I’m even more anxious for is when will we get an ultrasound and get to see this baby!! I am soooo ready to know if it is a boy or a girl, I just can’t wait to find out!  I’m so ready to start planning too!  Anyway… just wanted to make a quick post tonight since it has been so long since I’ve posted at all.
Happy Friday everyone! :)
